Owner: Scarritt Renaissence Neighborhood Association

Artist: Beth Nybeck and Dick Jobe

Installed: 2011

Dedicated: November 11, 2011

Medium: Stainless steel

Description:

This sculpture was part of the Northeast Community Leadership Action Team's "Less Trash is More Art" community beautification project. The project promotes the Northeast's connection to the arts community, promotes healthy methods of sustainable transportation and enhances nearby Cliff Drive. The installation was funded by State Street Bank.

"Constrained Chaos" fits in nicely with the project's promotion in that the theme of the piece is creating energy and exploration. While it is a sculptural work, it also doubles as an artistic, usable bicycle rack in The Concourse Park.

It is just north of The Concourse Fountain.
