Description:
Quasarc sits in Pink Hill Park facing NW Park Drive and the adjoining neighborhood. This painted steel sculpture holds up the sky with a graceful arc. The arc is dotted with optical lenses that capture, distort, and frame the surrounding landscape in moments of time and place.
The 25-foot wide sculpture was displayed in Tennessee prior to being acquired by the City of Blue Springs. It was placed at its current location in Pink Hill Park in 2010.
The sculpture Restless Recovery and the Blue Springs Veterans' Way Memorial are within sight just to the west of Quasarc's location.
