Owner: C. L. William Haw and Livestock Exchange, LLC
Artist: Robert Morris
Dates: 1993
Medium: Steel
Description:
At the bottom of the eastbound exit ramp from I-670 to Gennessee Street is a hill with steel cutouts of cattle on it known as "Bull Mountain." "Bull Mountain" serves as the unofficial gateway to the Stockyards District in the West Bottoms area. The cattle are actually some of the cutouts from "Bull Wall" at Kemper Arena, south of this location. Every spring, in the time-honored prairie tradition, the hill is set on fire to burn off the dry grass to allow new shoots to come through.
