Description:
Two children stand astride the head of a bearded man or god holding a jug of water between them and letting the water pour out. A third child is bending over and playing with the man's nose. Garlands of flowers extend from either side of the man's head and around to the back of the sculpture. There is a spigot in the man's mouth from which water issues forth into the half-circle basin below. The entire fountain, scultpure, basin and pedestal, are all made of marble and stands approximately five feet tall.
The fountain was purchased by the J.C. Nichols Company and placed flush against the exterior of the then Medical Office Building on the Plaza. Today, it sits next to the door to the Country Club Plaza corporate offices.
