Description:
AKA The Deer
This sculpture by award winning artist and former Overland Park resident Stephen LeBlanc is part of the sculpture park along Tomahawk Creek Parkway and is in the median about a block south of College Boulevard.
This sculpture of three life-sized deer, two does and a buck, leaping through the median is so realistic that drivers have mistaken them for actual deer crossing the road. It is surrounded by landscaping made of natural elements such as rocks, plants and shrubs. The north and east sides are bounded by a low limestone block wall. This piece is a tribute to the deer that are known to frequent the area.
