Description:

This twelve foot tall sculpture sits outside the Overland Park City Hall at the intersection of Santa Fe Drive and W 85th Street. The twisting bronze forms represent the freedom of flight and movement through the abstract depiction of birds. The sculpture has been painted black, which helps give the sculpture its name. The circular concrete base has also been painted black.
