Golden Hedges

Owner: Missouri Bank

Artist: Jesse Small

Dates: 2008

Medium: Cor-ten Steel

Description:

The artist designed these steel sculptures in close association with the architects to establish a theme that is linked with the architecture of the building. They were designed to rust and patina and "bleed" onto the concrete. This created sculptures that, while motionless, transform with the seasons and create slow drawings on the surrounding concrete.

The one on the front of the building is mounted to the building itself and stands up to nine feet in height. The one on the back of the building is mounted on top of a concrete enclosure and reaches up to four feet above the top of the concrete wall.
