An authentic Native American Medicine Wheel created by Chief Lee Yelloweyes of the Southern Cheyenne Nation. The piece is a symbol of the Cheyenne's spiritual beliefs. It was made in cooperation with The Traditional Southern Cheyenne Nation using sacred stones transported from southern Oklahoma. The Medicine Wheel is 60 feet in diameter. A set of five plaques along the path leading up to the Medicine Wheel relates the piece's history, meanings and how to use it. It is next to the Marder Woodland Garden in the Overland Park Arboretum and Botanical Gardens.
